PRINCESS Diana had a lust-filled one-night stand with John F Kennedy Jr according to a new book written by a friend.
According to author and Diana confidante Simone Simmons, the princess rated Kennedy a "ten out of ten" performer during one night of "pure lust" in a New York hotel room.
Simmons, whose book Diana: the Last Word is serialized in The Sun newspaper, said the princess also fantasized about becoming America''''s First Lady.
Diana and Kennedy, who both died in tragic accidents in the late 1990s, met in New York in 1995 when the son of the assassinated US president sought an interview with her for his magazine George, The Sun reported.
She refused but aGREed to meet him in his luxury suite in the Manhattan hotel overlooking Central Park, according to Simmons.
Diana was "bowled over" by Kennedy''''s charm.
"We started talking, one thing led to another and we ended up in bed together. It was pure chemistry," she is quoted as saying in the book.
Also, according to the new biography, Diana thought the pair would make a GREat team and even entertained the idea of becoming the United States'''' First Lady if he went into politics.
Upon her return to London, Diana had an astrological chart drawn up on Kennedy and concluded that they were not compatible enough to pursue a relationship, according to Simmons.
They remained in contact for some time before Kennedy married Carolyn Bessette the following year.
Diana was killed in 1997 in a car accident in Paris. Kennedy, his wife and her sister Lauren Bessette were all killed when the plane he was piloting crashed near Martha''''s Vineyard in July 1999.
