虚拟条件句中常可省略if,而把were,should,had放在主语之前构成倒装。

2.They didn’t go to the cinema yesterday,neither did we.

在否定句中表示“某人(物)也不……”,常用“neither/nor+助动词(系动词、have、情态动词)+主语”句型,构成倒装。

在肯定句中表示“某人(物)也是如此”则用“so+助动词(系动词、have、情态动词)”句型,构成倒装。

3.Hard as he worked,he failed again.

由as引导的让步状语从句,从句中要把作表语用的形容词或作状语用的副词放到句首构成倒装,如果表语是一单数名词,名词前应省去冠词。

4.Never shall I forget the days when you were with us.

表示否定意义的副词,如never,seldom,hardly,little,by no means等置于句首时,须用倒装语序。

5.Not until midnight did it stop raining.

not until置于句首时,主句要倒装。

6.No sooner had they got to the factory than they started to work.

在“hardly...when...”或“no sooner...than...”两个结构中,hardly或no sooner置于句首时,句子要倒装。

7.So frightened were they that they didn’t know what to do.

在结果状语从句中表示程度状语的so置于句首时,句子要倒装。

only及其所修饰的状语位于句首时,句子须倒装。
