The Jeju-do World Cup Stadium in Seogwipo held two first round matches, and one second round game. It took less than three years to build at a cost of 87 million dollars and, unlike many of the World Cup Stadium, it won’t lie 1)redundant after the finals.
Architect: We built this stadium based on the assumption that we would eventually move one side of it, after the World Cup is over. The Stadium was designed to be 2)dismantled, and reassembled. The parts can be moved easily using cranes. With the grounds so close to the coast, the playing field is below sea level to reduce the effects of the strong wind. Plans are 3)afoot to make the area around the stadium and all 4)mod 5)cons 6)ledger complex.
Architect: Many facilities for the resort can be built here in the future. For example, they include an IMAX cinema and theatre, a Sea Max Theatre, an 7)aquarium, a shopping center and a multi-national food hall. All of these will be installed around the stadium, for various events that should attract even more tourists to the island.
