My name is ZhouDan. I come from Xian Tao No.2 experimental primary school. Now I would like to give my speech to you.
"Everything happens for the best", This is my motto.My mother said whenever I faced disappointment. "If you carry on, one day something good will happen. And you'll realize that it wouldn't have happened if not for that previous disappointment. "
I'm not a poet, so I couldn't eulogize my career in elegant verse; also not a scholar, so I couldn't consider my values with profound ideas; even not a singer, so I couldn't praise my job by sweet voice.
However, I'm a teacher—an ordinary primary teacher, the most beautiful poem was built up with the knowledge; the most mysterious philosophy was deduced by pondering; Therefore I want to speak out my feeling—I choose, I love.
Five years ago, I stood on the platform for the first time, facing a group of naive pupils uneasily. But my instinct tells me that it isn'tnecessary for me to be so shy. Everything is difficult at the start, especially I'm a GREen hand at teaching, but I have a passion for it. Also the sense of responsibility inspires me to greater efforts.
A good teacher imparts wisdom more than the book learning to his students. With the development of science and technology, we couldn't adopt the spoon-feeding method any more. I advocate that the student should be more skeptical, After all, Criticism is the basis of proGREss.
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". It's my pleasure to let the students master the language during games and music. For example, the student would be more active if the new words could be instructed in children’s song. In my mind, the duty is to lead them to approach English and love it in easy ways. Whenever I hear the simple GREeting "Hello, Miss Zhou", I'm very proud of them.
"Plant a row for the hungry" is a proverb which interests me. Enlighten the pupils with proper method instead of the knowledge itself, they will benefit from this idea in the future. Such as, if I tell them a sentence in a real situation rather than the literal meaning，they will learn it more quickly and better. Furthermore they can draw inferences about other cases from one instance.
"Attitude is everything" teaches us to do everything with a positive attitude and a optimistic mood, so do Teaching and Learing. A single spark can start a prairie fire, I believe the education would have a brilliant future with the society's endeavour.
