My husband and I went to the wedding of our friend's daughter. It was a very large wedding for our town.Almost one hundred people were there.I always get tired in large crowds,so I told my husband that I would rather not stay for the party after the wedding. My husband pointed out that it might be rude to leave without congratulating the bride and groom(新娘和新郎).
When the wedding ceremony(典礼)was over,we tried to speak to the bride and groom. They were surrounded by friends and family. We could not get near them.Just as I was about to suggest to my husband that we call it a day and leave,a young man came up to us.
“Hello,Mr.and Mrs.Brown,”he said to us.He looked familiar, but neither my husband nor I could think of the young man's name.We talked with the young man for a few minutes, and then another couple came up to us.It was Mr.and Mrs.Wilson.They were friends of ours whom we had met several years ago.
The young man left after a few minutes to go and say hello to other friends of his.I told the Wilsons,“I'm sorry that we did not introduce you to that nice young man.My husband and I could not figure out his name.”
“That's all right,”said Mr.Wilson.“He is our son.”
