The Story of Anne Frank

Anne Frank was born in 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. When the Nazis came to power, Anne and her family, who were Jewish, fled Frankfurt. They moved to Amsterdam(阿姆斯特丹), Holland, hoping for a safe life. It was not long before the Germans invaded Holland. Soon they began arresting Jews.

The Franks and some friends hid in small rooms in a warehouse for more than two years. They were discovered and put into a concentration camp in 1945. Anne died in the concentration camp. However, she left behind her diary of those two years, which was found in a secret hiding place. Her diary became one of the best-selling books of all time. Anne had written, “I want to go on living even after my death.” And she did.
