come on动词+介词
Things haven’t been the same since the new director came on the scene.（新主任来后许多事情都变了。）come on the scene表示到来，到场，特别是要起一定作用。新主任来了就要领导这个部门。有时come on the scene还可表示某人出生，如
That war was long before you came on the scene.（那场战争是你出生前很久的事了。）
This heavy rain, coming on top of the severe cold, is enough to kill the caterpillar fungus hunters.（暴雨外加严寒，挖虫草的群众命在旦夕。）come on top of something一般表示一件坏事接着另一件，增加其坏影响。
come out动词+副词
It came out that the goody-goody had been telling a pack of lies. （后来知道假正经一直在说谎。）goody-goody指假正经、伪善的人。这里come out表示消息、真相等透露出来，为众人所知。也可表示秘密被发现，如
The imposter’s secret came out when a missing year was noticed in his record.（履历中缺少一年暴露了冒名顶替者的秘密。）
I’m afraid our holiday photos didn’t come out.（我担心假期拍的照片没印出来。）这里come out指照片洗印出来，在照片上看到。
