Today when I listened to the Hong Kong newscast, i surprising learned that three children aged from 2 to 7 died because of a certain category of influenza named H3N1. All the primary schools and kindergartens will be closed for two weeks. It means the Easter holidays will arrive ahead of time for the students.
Not virulent as the present flue is, Now in Hong Kong, everyone’s heart is intensely seized by it. after being affected by H3N1, people will show respiratory and neurological symptoms like having a terrible headache or cough along with different deGREes of fever. people dare not to purchase fowls such as chickens and geese. They adopt all kinds of measures to ward off the disease. For instance , they put great emphasis on the daily hygiene. They will wash their hands before they start to eat something or after they go back home. Besides, they will sanitize their house and the nearby surroundings to deracinate all potential virus and bacteria. More importantly, they have a stronger and stronger sense of body building. they have distinctively know that a healthy body cannot be achieved with a poor immune system.
As a matter of fact , personally speaking , I think the Hong Kong people have a sensitive nerve to epidemic disease. when flu named H5N1 broke out city-wide, people take all the means to exterminate all potential virus. Even a dead bird found in the park, which Is commonly seen in the countryside, will be delivered to hospital to receive further test. But since they have such a strong sense of self-protection, what causes the flu strike back again and again? Should our human deeds count for this ?
we all share that nowadays there comes out more and more fatal diseases , which are literally GREat threats to human’s life. Why would it happen? On second thought , we may all realize that it is the penalty for our destroying the environment in order to boost our economy. We overuse our natural resources, disrupting the balance and ecosystem and leaving countless modes of animals extinct. We sympathize little with wild lives in nature. Instead , we cast to them again and again our swords and guns brutally so as to meet our expanding needs for money, ignoring their voiceless and miserable protest. We always regard our mankind as the dominator of the earth and hold that nature should naturally submit to and service us. Thereby , we hold out our hands to nature for endless lusts. Nevertheless, never ever had we imagined what we did to nature would be ten even hundred times paid back to us. All kinds of disasters and havocs terminating numerable human lives can verify the nature’s supreme dignity.
However, having lived through so many tribulations, do we really confess our sins and cease our erroneous deeds ? probably not. A vast number of people are still combating against nature, which is doomed to fail. Worse still, they will receive tougher chastisement.
