提示：在英国不满18岁的人不准进公共酒吧间，因汤姆太小，他父亲史密斯先生经常独自到附近的一家酒吧间去，当汤姆18岁时，父亲第一次把他带进这个酒吧间，他喝了一个小时酒后，史密斯先生说他要教育这孩子别喝多了，他说酒吧间里挂着两盏灯，如果看上去象四盏，那就表明已经喝够了，该回家了。最后孩子说，“可我只能看到一盏灯呀！”

In England nobody under the age of eighteen is allowed to drink in a public bar．
Mr Smith used to go to a bar near his house quite often，but he never took his son，Tom ， because he was too young．Then when Tom had his eighteenth birthday，Mr Smith took him to his usual bar for the first time．
They drank for an hour，and then Mr Smith said to his son，“Now，Tom ，I want to give you some useful advice．You must alway be careful not to drink too much．And how do you know when you have had enough？Well，I'll tell you．Do you see those two lights at the end of the bar？ When they seem to have become four，you have had enough and should go home．”
“But，Dad，”said Tom，“I can see only one light at the end of the bar．”
