B）主观题。此类题型是竞赛中阅读理解考查的重点，它体现了全国中学生英语能力竞赛不同于其它测试的典型特点之一。竞赛中的阅读理解主观题主要包括以下几种题型：

1.填空题。该题型的特点是在短文或图文、图表材料后给出若干个句子或一段经过改写的短文或对话，在句子、短文或对话中均留有若干空格，要求考生在每个空格上填入一个或几个单词，使句子、短文或对话所表达的意思与原来所给材料内容一致。请看例题：

答案及分析：

这篇短文是一则房屋出租或出售的广告，介绍了图片中那座小屋（cottage）的历史、位置、房屋内部结构、外部环境及相关的生活配套设施等。对话是根据短文内容但并不是完全按短文内容依次展开的，这一点要注意。

1．the countryside ／（South）Devon。上句问小屋在什么地方，原文说它在Ringmore村附近的乡村（countryside）。另外，标题中的South Devon（德文郡）也说明了小屋所在地。

2．bedrooms 3．two。原文说明这座房子有两间双人卧室。

4．living room。从后文的“with antique furniture in it”（里面有古色古香的家具）看，这是说起居室的。

5．cooker。图片在左下角有ELECTRIC COOKER（电炊具）字样。

6．restaurants ／pubs。小房子里没有餐厅，要吃饭可以使用电炊具，也可到附近的饭馆吃。pub指“小酒店”或“小旅馆”。

7．garden。从原文“There is a big garden．．．”判断。

8．village。从下句“Not exactly（确切），but it's near a village．”看，Paul的问题应与 village有关。

9．Ringmore。Ringmore是个村子的名称。

10．post office。原文讲到Ringmore这个村子里有一家小商店和一个邮局。

11．number。广告中的01548 810765就是电话号码。
